Two Types of Multiple
Hypersequents are nite sets of ordinary sequents. We show that multiple-conclusion sequents and single-conclusion hypersequents represent two diierent natural methods of switching from a single-conclusion calculus to a multiple-conclusionone. The use of multiple-conclusionsequents corresponds to using a multiplicative disjunction, while the use of single-conclusion hypersequents corresponds to ...
متن کاملA Multiple-Conclusion Meta-Logic
The theory of cut-free sequent proofs has been used to motivate and justify the design of a number of logic programming languages. Two such languages, λProlog and its linear logic refinement, Lolli [12], provide for various forms of abstraction (modules, abstract data types, higher-order programming) but lack primitives for concurrency. The logic programming language, LO (Linear Objects) [2] pr...
متن کاملTwo Types Of Intrusion Detection Systems
Intrusion System. IDS have the task of monitoring the systems in a network and detect the Intrusion detection system is classified into two types: 1. Host based. IDS is a passive system meant to keep track of a system's traffic and log it for further reporting. By its nature, IDS is looking for a "green light" in the traffic flow. Compare and contrast signature-based and anomaly-based intrusion...
متن کاملA System for Proper Multiple-conclusion Entailment
The concept of proper multiple-conclusion entailment is introduced. For any sets X, Y of formulas, we say that Y is properly mc-entailed by X iff Y is mc-entailed by X, but no A ∈ Y is single-conclusion entailed by X. The concept has a natural interpretation in terms of question evocation. A sound and complete axiom system for the propositional case of proper mc-entailment is presented.
متن کاملExploiting Multiple Action Types in Recommender Systems
Implicit feedback recommender systems provide personalized suggestions for items that are predicted to be of interest to the user, by collecting online users’ activity and inferring from it users’ preferences. While the state-of-the-art models are built by employing observations of user actions of one single type, the usage of multiple action types enables to observe more information and to bui...
